Who is D.J. Snake?

Born in June 1986, William Sami, commonly known as D.J. Snake, is a 34-year-old recording artist from Paris, France. His fame arose from a 2013 international debut with singles such as “Bird Machine” and “Turn Down for What.”

Since then, he has been making hit songs and collaborating with other famous musicians such as Cardi B and Selena Gomez. He is a well-known record producer who has been active since 2009.

He is a fan of football and supports the Paris Saint Germain football club. He is not married neither has he revealed his dating life to the public.

To stand out from other recording artists, D.J. Snake has a specialization in different types of music genres. Such include EDM, Trap, Dubstep, Hip hop, Bass house, Electro house, and Big room house.

From receiving a wide variety of awards, D.J. Snake has also gotten various nominations. He had a Grammy Awards Album of the year 2012 where he produced “Born this way” and earned a nomination. The best music video of 2015 was where he collaborated with Lil Jon ‘’Turn Down for What’’ and got another nomination.

Billboard Music Awards Top Dance/electronic song in 2015 & 2016 where he won “Turn Down for What” and “Lean On” with Major Lazer featuring MO. The rest were nominations.

Top Dance/electronic song in 2017 was another nomination for “Let Me Love You” featuring Justin Bieber. Denmark GAFFA Awards Best Foreign Song in 2015 where he won “Lean On.”

IHeartRadio Music Awards Dance artist of the year in 2017, where- he got another nomination. Dance song of the year in 2017, and he earned a nomination for “Let Me Love You,” featuring Justin Bieber.

Kids’ Choice Awards Favorite DJ/EDM artist in 2017 which was another nomination. MTV Video Music Awards Three nominations and one win in 2014. MTV Clubland Award (nomination), Best visual effects (nomination), Best Art Direction (nomination), and Best direction (win).

NRJ Music Awards Best French DJ in 2018. He also won the best D.J. Teen Choice Award Choice music: r&b/hip hop in 2014 where he got a nomination for “Turn Down For What” with Lil Jon.

Electronic Music Awards Single of the Year in 2017 where he earned a nomination for “Let Me Love You.”
